ABOUT

Founded in 2011, the Lolas (Ladies of Los Angeles) have built a reputation as LA’s premier all-women vocal pop group, celebrated for powerful harmonies, inventive arrangements and dedication to female empowerment. Performing both a cappella and with their four-piece band, the Lolas have filled some of LA’s most iconic venues including The Mint, The Roxy, Bar Lubitsch, and The Witzend. In 2015, the Lolas released their self-titled debut album with a sold-out show at Hotel Café, and continue to bring their signature sound to stages across Southern California as they celebrate 15 years of music together in 2026.

Their repertoire spans artists from Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift to Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, and The Beatles, delivering a curated blend of fresh hits and timeless classics at every show. A dynamic collective of women thriving in diverse careers, the Lolas share a bond that makes their music — and their friendship — truly unforgettable.

AUDITION FOR LOLAS!

We’re accepting auditions for a FEMALE BASS!

Ideal low range: B2 to E3

Please submit your application and all required materials listed below through this form by Tuesday, 5/19, 9 pm Pacific.

Callback notification: Sunday 5/24

Callbacks (if selected): Wednesday 5/27 (evening in Mar Vista; specifics upon invitation)

First rehearsal (if selected): Wednesday, 6/3

Required:

  • Intro video -- Tell us about yourself!

  • You singing a verse and chorus of a ballad (no backing music)

  • You singing a verse and chorus of an up-tempo song (no backing music)

  • You singing scales to show both your high and low range (on any vowel/syllable of your choosing)

Optional for all:

  • Videos/links to your solo performances in a group or your arrangements being performed

  • PDFs or MuseScore files of your arrangements.

Strong candidates should have:

  • Strong vocal skills and intonation

  • Trained ear for harmonization

  • Basic sight-reading skills

  • Ability to learn and memorize challenging pieces

  • Passion and enthusiasm for singing and performing

  • Ability to commit to weekly Wednesday rehearsals from 7:30-9:30pm (subject to slight change as needed), and additional pre-performance rehearsals as needed
