MELODY

Melody is a Santa Monica-based music teacher and singer-songwriter. Her musical journey started at a very young age singing in church with her mom. Her passion for music grew as she sang in choirs and vocal jazz groups throughout middle school, high school, and college at CSUN, where she earned her degree in music education. She now runs a private music lesson business in her home music studio, and writes songs in her free time. Her songs are inspired by bossa nova classics from the 1960’s, and a love for the ocean and nature. As a multi-instrumentalist, Melody has played and sung for different Los Angeles-based bands and artists such as Soft Blue Shimmer, and is featured as a vocalist on the album “Ekphrasis Synesthesia” by The Dark Bob.

When she isn’t busy teaching, performing or writing music, Melody enjoys gardening, cuddling with her cats, and traveling the world.
